Basic qualifications:
Must have a minimum of a Ph.D with emphasis in integrated cardiovascular pharmacology or physiology with 1-2 yrs of relevant experience.
Preferred qualifications:
1-2 yrs of post-doctoral experience.
Experience with large animal cardiovascular hemodynamic and cardiac functional assessment would be advantageous. Experience with implanting and using telemetric devices and/or experience with echocardiography would be a plus.
Details:
We are in search of a cardiovascular pharmacologist to perform studies using in vivo animal models to assess integrated cardiovascular pharmacology of lead therapeutic compounds in support of heart failure discovery research. This individual should be an independent and have the ability to develop and implement state of the art heart failure disease models to advance discovery efforts. Extensive experience with in vivo assessment of cardiovascular and circulatory function in animal models is essential. Experience in areas of isolated heart or renal pharmacology and/or in vitro cardiomyocyte or stem cell is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment are key attributes. This individual must be able to manage a laboratory with junior staff as well as analyze, interpret, and present key results.
